We twin-turbocharged Jay Leno's V12 Hemi Tank Car

In 2006, Jay Leno sent his Continental V12 Hemi-powered Tank Car to Banks for some extra power. The mission was to create a twin-turbo system for the mammoth car and upgrade the fuel system to a modern computer-controlled injection system. We fabricated one-of-a-kind parts and engineered a system that doubled the horsepower to an astonishing 1,600 HP at 2,800 RPM.

2nd edit- I wasnt really looking for opinions in the comments- I wanted to know how the car was ACTUALLY built in reality...1600 HP at 2800 RPM is about 3000 ft-lbs of torque. You need to talk about the drive train this car has that can handle that type of power. **EDIT- i looked it up when i was on the computer -it has an Allison 6-speed HD4060, its generally rated for 1850 ft-lbs, its probably upgraded somehow. and the rear axle is a rockwell.

Man, I remember reading Jay's Popular Mechanics article about this thing probably 20 years ago. Definitely a formative memory for ~8 year old me. I'd love to see that car in person one day 😭😭
