She is the most dangerous kind of copper.... never admits being wrong and happy to use any act whether justified or not to deprive you of your rights and freedom.

That police woman was quick out of the starting blocks with her attitude and threats to arrest you under section 43 and record you without informing you. IMO a nasty piece of work who I'm sure wouldn't think twice about abusing her power.

The logic of the security man saying “Don’t take pictures, there’s cameras watching you” just made my brain explode

FYI - during 2021 the Met police stopped and searched 461 people under section 43. Not a single one of those people was subsequently charged with a terror related crime!
So yes, clearly section 43 is being abused and will surely go the way of section 44 in time!

The female officer says, DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF HER COLLEAGUE, "I can detain you under section 43..." WHEN ASKED TO CONFIRM WHAT THE FEMALE OFFICER JUST SAID IN FRONT OF HIM the male copper says, " I wasn't here for that part of the conversation..." *SHE JUST SAID IT!!!! WE ALL HEARD 10.44 mins Then the same woman was unaware of her own code of conduct regarding her body-camera!!???? (WHO TRAINS/GRADUATES THESE

(Not to mention that as soon as she was taken to task, her whole previously entitled persona was that of a skunk forced to lick shit off barbed wire...) Perfect casting, indeed...

The contrast between the male officer and the female officer was incredible. She was territorial and he was enlightened (he seemed to be, anyway). He wasn't antagonistic, he was diplomatic, and he came across as a much better person/officer than her.

She is a liability. Not often I praise the police, but the man de-escalated this encounter, albeit reluctantly. Luckily for him being there, this could of went south. AB stood his ground, that lady didn't get anything of what was going on. That's how this seems to me.

If they are so paranoid about people taking pictures of this building, why the bloody hell did they put it in the middle of a major tourist city that is busy all the time?

The male policeman, Fraiser, is a credit to the Metropolitan Police. An excellent officer whose behaviour, body language, and non-threatening demeanour was exemplary. He epitomises the kind of police we want on our streets. It would be a pleasure to meet with him.

In all the times I've seen Section 43 applied and an auditor searched, the police have never found anything dangerous and usually not even an ID, but yet they just let the auditor walk away. What happened to all those reasonable grounds, or "suspicion", if you prefer. No, it's obviously nothing more than retaliation and an exhibition of power to humiliate, degrade, and harass a citizen whose activities they don't like.

Worth noting - under the Data Protection Act, you have a right to be informed that your data is being captured, no later than the point at which its captured. It’s not just police policy, it’s law. When you film an officer telling you they don’t have to tell you they’re recording, you’ve got an instant claim for compensation under Article 82 of the GDPR for their failure to uphold your right to be informed. They can’t even wriggle out of it when they openly declare they don’t have to tell you. The law says they do, and if they don’t, kerching!
