On 27 February 2001, Beyoncé Knowles was interviewed on the Brit Awards red carpet along with her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The three singers were thrown a curveball by ITN's Jon Gilbert, who took the opportunity to ask their thoughts about the foot and mouth epidemic that was devastating Britain's livestock at the time. It would be unfair to say that Beyoncé put her foot in her mouth. Given the circumstances, we think she did pretty well.
