Did you know that Sukuna could have never beaten Gojo if it wasn’t because of Mahoraga? In the Recent exhibition, Gege himself actually confirmed that other domain expansion, Sukuna has no other way to bypass Infinity and inflict damage onto Gojo. And we all know how things play out when these two strongest clash their domain together! This kinda explains why Sukuna did not care about resurrecting at first because he still hadn't thought of a way to defeat Gojo Satoru, however, the moment he noticed Megumi’s talent, Sukuna immediately came up with a plan to take over his body. You can say that this battle is kind of like the battle between talent and experience.

Gojo was done so wrong but let’s be real his ability are the most busted in the series and all sukuna was really working with was cleave and dismantle which against any other person would work perfectly fine, but someone who’s CE doesn’t allow them to be touched nullifys that all together. People will say Ten shadows saved him but again that’s literally the only ability outside of Inverted spear that can get through that limitless barrier. The way I see it is Gojo was in creative mode the whole time until sukuna used domain application and mahoraga to cut thru the barrier finally. Gojos my favorite character but I respect how sukuna played chess while Gojo was playing checkers.
