Big Reason Why YOU Should Hoard Copper Now

I'm going to show you a big reason why you should hoard copper pennies now. Don't wait. Hoarding copper pennies may be way more valuable in a few years. Also in this video I find a good lot of wheat pennies, several pounds of copper pennies for myself, along with other cool collectibles. If you put off hoarding copper pennies until later, you may well regret it.

The “green death” is bronze disease, it can be pretty bad but its easy to spot. Just poke it with something like a blunt needle, and if it gets powdery, its bronze disease. If not, its just patina which can form fast depending on conditions. We see bronze disease in ancient roman coins, and it is very unfortunate.

Watching these videos are so satisfying, and is making me want to go get some pennies to check haha!

I took a old pair of glasses and took out the glass and inserted a eye cup and hot glued it in to look at the coins. Enjoy you show. Jim80

I really hope you have good luck with the Iowa copper! I usually pick up a box at least every couple of weeks. A good time indeed. I do sort them out by year and mint. It makes it easier to find varieties. Surprised to see how many struck through grease coins you can find! Not sure if they have any value. Would be kind cool putting a set together of struck through pennies. Not sure how long that would take!!! I really appreciate your videos!!! I have found one Indian head in a box from east Iowa.

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing almost no information for those of us not knowledgeable in coins...10 minutes of my life I can't get back while learning nothing!

some SMALL TOWN banks have coin machines in the lobby. THE BANK WILL NOT COUNT YOUR CHANGE, you have to use the machine. they bag the coins by dollar amount (pennies are $50.00) and ship them to the ferderal reserve branch near them. prior to 2015 i lived in Centerville, iowa and banked at farmers and merchants bank. i had a metals based coin sorter and would get tons of copper pennies to sell on ebay. i would fill a flat rate box from from the post office and sell them as UNSORTED COPPER!
BUT I MOVED TO PHILIPPINES IN 2015. now that im back i just sort my pocket change and put copper in a big jug!

Interesting for sure. I’ve been metal detecting for about 2 years. I have accumulated 1/2 of a 2 1/2 gallon bucket of pennies with most of the zinc cents separated. The other clad coins I tumble and deposit into my checking account. I’ll buy a box of pennies and give it a try. Cheers from Bridgeport, Connecticut!

Unless the government takes the penny out of circulation, price will not matter. It is illegal to melt pennies for the copper in the US. Having said that I keep the ones I find as well. I believe eventually they will take pennies out of circulation.

Whew, I'm impressed with you doing this all by sight but I use a coin comparator out of a vending machine that I rigged up to a power supply and set over two tubs. I can probably feed 100 or so a minute through it by hand and it only cost me about $50. You might want to look in to something like that or a Ryedale sorter.

That projection puts the value of copper at about 13.66 times the face value of a copper cent. If face value exceeds about 15 times in relation to a cent, then we get to a point where even the copper in dimes, quarters, and half dollars starts to exceed their face values. Can you imagine that? People hoarding clad dimes, quarters, and half dollars for their copper value? I wonder if the government would then replace the coins with some cheaper metal or eliminate them altogether from circulation, and they'd then become the copper version of what 90% silver is today.

I’ve been doing boxes for the last year and do about a box a week and have got about 175 lbs at this point. My question is how are you planning on extracting the actual value of the copper from these pennies when you do cash them in for the hopeful increased value with the copper price going up? Appreciate the channel and content and goodluck finding that Indian head! I got 3 to date.

The penny @6:06 was wondering when someone would find one those. I think I've seen them on eBay for sale before with an Indian.

I'd be mad getting a whole roll of rotted zincolns!!! You should at least let the teller know they are junk or someone else will have to deal with them!!!

I wish my eyesight was as good as yours. Can you let me know where you bought your magnifying glass and scales. I did not see them listed below the video. Your video popped up on my feed a few days ago. I would like to start collecting copper pennies. Also why do you keep 1962 and other non copper pennies? Any information you can.give me will be appreciated. Im 66 and hoping to retire one day soon 😳 but this economy has me worried about not having a job.
