That's because the r1 wasn't made for people to try to fit it into their smartphone reliant ecosystem. It was made for people who want to break away from their smartphone addiction and having a simple product like this helps with that. People need to stop criticizing the r1 for its foreseen limitations, and start respecting it for the idea behind it. Which has always been to break away from what we all know controls us. I mean the guy who proved that it can be made into an app on his phone, has proven that we still have a problem.

Why does nobody understand that that is the point of the thing it is extremely practical for non-technical people And for such people, something like this is also very useful.
