Thank you Nikos. Now I finally understand everything complety. You brought light into my unknown hehehe. So well explained. Time for me to jump on the bench and adjust the circuit I made to read the peak voltage... then also built a power metter as well. 73 my friend and have a great evening.

Is the coefficient 0.707 valid for the one-diode rectifier? I think it should be 0.385 because you get only half of the voltage cycle.
