I am a firm believer in parts machines. I built a 2013 model Troy Bilt Pony from the ground up out of my parts stash. Every part is factory correct, and everything is fully functional. It took me six years on and off to finish it, and I just have to adjust the carb a little bit, and it will be good to go. I did actually cut grass with it the other day. Being a hoarder pays (literally), lol. I had everything I needed except the belts and carb in my stash. I just had to find the time.

Great video. That was the issue with my 225. Thanks to your videos and the comments I'm also flipping equipment. I just wish my area had more free or cheap items. Most are attempts to sell old, non-running equipment for the same price as if they were working properly because they know people fix and sell them.

I appreciate how diligently you accessed the possible problem with the trimmer. Thankfully all of the Echo's I have fixed just had carb problems. Another great instructional video. Thanks!!!

I recently picked up an echo pas2620 from our local Echo Dealer. After retiring my pas 225. The 2620 has way more power and seems to be better made than other trimmers. I remember when it first came out I was about 11 years old now at 19 I have one best 400 dollars I ever spent.

I've never seen an Echo coil go bad but my pal at the Ace saw shop had a box full of bad Stihl coils and 4-mix cams. But thst one was obviously bad so you did GOOD! Happy weekend and Thanks!

Interesting how those bad coils can still give spark!! Found out what was wrong with my srm 2100, both bearings are bad, as well as the needle bearings that attach to the bottom of the crank, making the rod lean to one side and causing excess friction!! No wonder my customer had a heck of a time with it! I posted this on my new channel, because this failure is pretty uncommon but goes to show its not always a carb, exhaust or ignition problem

I have only encountered a bad flywheel once since I started working on small engines, and that was on a 14.5 hp Briggs engine. Of course the flywheel (part # 215700) is discontinued, and I can't find one anywhere for a decent price. I am fixing this mower for a friend, and he is on a very limited budget, especially since the mower is 17 years old. It is in fantastic condition though, and I would love to get it going again if I can find the part for a decent price.

Have you ever tried to test the ignition coil with the volt meter to see what the ohms on the ignition coil

I have a Shindaiwa weed eater and for some reason I cannot get the bolts out of it but they're actually screws and I just don't know if you know a good way to get them out I was trying to remove the screen to burn off the carbon I cannot get them out for no reason so would I have to cut them out or cut the exhaust off get them out that way and order a new exhaust or what do you think we should do

I think with the price of everything going up I would keep any parts that I have I heard a regular rear end that would fit in a Troy-Bilt would cost $600 thank you for the video

Hey bro what's up? I don't have any parts machine around my home since it have several repair shops in my area and replacement parts are available and affordable for me at the moment here. Why did you choose to replace the ignition coil with a new one instead of using the one from the parts mower?

One good thing about Amazon is that you can buy all the parts you want to throw at a machine. If one wasn't the problem you just return it 😅
