I got to meet you today at Aquashella, and you know how they say, "never meet your heroes"? Well, you disproved that adage. You were so friendly and personable. You took the time to have genuine conversations with people & everyone left happy. I came to Aquashella for my birthday with my 2 kids and had said to myself I'd get the VIP package if you were going to be there, but you aren't on the list! But that didn't matter, I still got to meet you, you gave me some advice on my new shell-dweller tank, and I got to shake your hand. Thank you for making a great trip even better.

I feel there should be a short bit of Timmy in every video. He brings so much joy. :)

You don’t have fish tanks you have plant tanks, but sometimes fish live in them. 😅

I didn't see anyone commenting about this, so: houseplants! The one in the shellfish tank looks like a china doll plant (Radermachera sinica). I had one years ago, but it could not withstand direct sunlight, and I had no better spot for it at the time, so it died. Happy to see yours growing so well :) And the leaf you thought might be a monstera among the pothos is indeed a monstera. Monstera leaves are not always split; a young specimen or one growing under low light will only grow smaller, intact leaves.

Also I 100% get what you mean with fish socializing together. The absolute best part of caring for an aquarium for me is seeing my cories interact with each other <3

Really loving the use of larger leafed plants in those tanks!

Can't wait to see the fish go in! Loving the videos, but I do miss your trips to the Fish Shop.

Seeing as you have three aquariums lined up, it would interesting to see South American fishes in the lefthand tank, African fishes in the middle, and Asian fishes in the right and have a 'East to West' representation of tropical fishes.

Your red only tank has to be one of the MVPs of the fish room

Tbh. not surprised that the left tank had the most algae - it's right next to the door and window and receives more natural light than the other two. Just my 2 cents... ☺☺☺

I first saw the idea of using terrestrial plants at the top of the tank here and it has transformed my aquarium. The fish love swimming among the roots and it really help improve the balance of the aquarium - water is crystal clear. Thanks so much.

One of my friends lost her goldfish recently and is thinking of doing a planted tank with fish, so immediately sent her a link to yours and Matt’s channels to see what you both do!

Wow, I've always kept monstera and pothos in my aquariums. But I want to go get a peace lily right now and put it in! That looks great!

Very nice 😀love the concept of the three tanks linked together with hardscape. Can not wait to see what fish stock you put in each tank. I would love to see some colombian tetras in one :)

You should get those aqua bridges and connect all of the tanks together.

I was struggling with that horrible brown stringy algae in a new tank I set up. I would remove most of it when I did a water change and it would have covered the tank in a few days. It slowly grew back less and less each time and I got a group of amanos which completely got on top of it in less than a week. They completely transformed the tank which I was on the verge of tearing down and starting again.

I actually like the oranges more than the reds.
They just blend together nicely & create a more peaceful-looking tank. 😎
