I remember the time that consistently the 70 class card matched the performance of the previous gen 80ti class card. It all started going down hill when they released RTX, suddenly they didn't have to make value improvements anymore. I guess the 3070 gave 2080ti performance, but it was seriously hindered by 8gb of vram.

jokes aside why pay 550+ brand new for a 12 gb card that relies on AI to create playable frames when you can spend around the same for a last gen card, get 16-24gb, and spend 7 more dollars for lossless scaling and get an infinite frame multiplier.

15-20 percent is actually abysmal - considering the 4070 Super actually beats the 3090, and all the 40 series cards had 50-70 percent gains over their 30 series counterparts
