I use Firefox always and it’s my default browser on both the devices PC and Mobile. Firefox still works great on PC and mobile too. But I love the PC version very much. Firefox isn't as bad as you think. Use Firefox again and I think it will not disappoint you.

I wanted Microsoft to use Gecko to develop their Edge browser instead of going the Chromium way. They had the resources and the manpower to bring balance to the worldwide web. Alas, Firefox is left alone to fight that battle.

I was using Chrome for long time
But its getting day by day shit
Chrome is full of bloat & makes more use of RAM (on desktop).
I had to reboot like 5 times in a day

Now I switched to firefox back 2 month ago, damn its works smooth on my old laptop, closing a tab takes less than second & i haven't done a single reboot since then.

Nice history lesson, but the main question, WHY ff and tb have lost market share, is not really answered. That would have been an interesting extension to the video.

Problem is, people don't change their browsers, like they don't change banks. It doesn't matter how easy it is. People are lazy and don't know what's good for them. Chrome has less security than IE, for goodness sake!

Lesson for the Young: If Google arrives in your market, sell while your price is high and skip town.

Amazing steps they take, then they bully the co-founder, and throws him under the bus. Hypocrisy at its finest.

I've been using Firefox since the 90s. it was fine. I still use it... but if I use it in private mode, for the last 8 months or so, i crashes, so that's creepy.

It was solid for 20+ years. Someone has hacked it.

I recently switched to Firefox from Chrome a couple of days ago just to try it out, and now I'm wondering why I never thought to switch until now. Firefox a fantastic browser, and I don't understand why people prefer other browsers over Firefox. Firefox also uses way less memory than Chrome does, and there's a lot less tracking too, so that's sweet.

I've always had a high opinion of Firefox, but I guess I just never thought to try it out until now.

Google really has a lot of metaphorical blood on it's hands, huh?

You guys should create an independent video for Mozilla Thunderbird. Gmail sort of took over. 😀

I guess I’m the only one who uses Firefox for Android.

My firefox removed itself from my computer this morning. Is this their infal suicide like yahoo did when Skype took it over, just deleting itself without letting the users know what the fuck happened, or is this something else?? God damn I hate developers, they never their their users what the fuck is going on!!

Firefox is an excellent browser - In my opinion (which is from my own experience) the only weakness it have is when watching Livestreams - after a few minutes it will start trying to buffer every second where it can only recover is when I close the browser and restart the stream again, but the problem will repeat itself again after a short period of time.

Even with the guides available to tweak Firefox, this issue remains unresolved, whether you are using Windows or Linux - this exact problem persists.

As my daily driver - I still use Firefox, however if I'm watching livestreams - then I'm just using Chromium Edge for both Windows and Linux.

"Pioneer of the open web"
_decides to stop pursuing PWA, the technology that even Microsoft saw fit to aggressively pursue_

I won't lie, if Containers is available on Brave or Vivaldi or even Edge, I would switch to those. Alternatively if any of those browsers' mobile version even support some of the privacy extensions or their functions that I use on Firefox for Android then I would immediately jump off the Firefox ship. Hell, I'll gladly use LibreWolf if they figured out a syncing solution like Brave did.

I am _literally_ looking for an excuse to stop using Firefox despite being a Linux user and only stopping because the pluses I have on Firefox is not yet available on those alternatives.

The problem with Mozilla as a whole is that despite their manifesto they literally have the least direction. I am pretty sure that their move with partnering with Mullvad is a fluke - watch as they wouldn't figure out the winning strategy of partnering with trusted vendors like Mullvad to build a coherent privacy respecting ecosystem to Google despite how simple that would be.

Still, I'll use them because IMO their extensions still giving them the legs up in mobile experience, as neutered as it is right now on the on Dev build. That and desktop's Containers.

It was my main before 2016, then Opera, then Brave, a temporary switch to Dissenter, and then back to Back, until Windows 11 came along, with the new Edge browser. I am more than okay with using EdgeChromium daily, you know, because Brave is staying.
