This is the 1st of 4 videos in this series. We wanted this video to be focused on Firefox because it's one of the last relevant browsers NOT based on Chromium. Also, extensions for their mobile app are a game changer!!! Thanks for watching :)

Firefox is the only major browser available on multiple operating systems that doesn't use Chromium as its base. It's literally the last pillar of open web and the last survivor of the Google monopoly.

Google Chrome was my default browser from launch (2008) through October 2021. Once in a while I'd switch to other browsers to experiment what unique features I may be missing out on. But the experiments wouldn't last long for I'd revert back to Chrome just within days, sometimes after only a few hours. There was something about Chrome's design, extended extension library and functionality that I wouldn't get on other browsers. But November 1, 2021, I quit Chrome switching to Firefox (I LOVE IT)

I used to use Firefox on Windows XP all the time when I was younger, but swapped to Chrome because it was faster on XP. Been using Chrome for years. I tried out Firefox again on Windows 10 and I've moved back, I love it.

Firefox has been my default browser ever since the discontinuation of Netscape. In addition to the Firefox add-ins, I recommend those offered by the Electronic Frontier Foundation.

I switched from Chrome to Firefox last year since I put together a new PC. I have no regrets. Chrome was tracking my browsing history. For example, I would browse different sites for graphics cards and CPU's. Then I would go to a food website looking for recipes or if I wanted to learn how turbo chargers worked, I would find a site for that, then I would see ads of graphics cards and CPU's on those sites.

I've never used chrome, used Firefox for about 10 years. Will never change.

Firefox Multi-account Containers is THE browser killer feature. Vivaldi, Edge, and Brave don’t seem inclined to have this feature; there have been feature requests for years now.

I've used Firefox since early on, and never could get to like Chrome.

Great video. I switched to Firefox a couple of months ago and doubt I'll go back to Chrome. Firefox isn't quite as fast as Chrome at loading pages, but it's plenty fast enough. Another feature you didn't mention that I use several times a day is the Firefox reading list. Just right click on a page and select "add page to reading list" then come back to it later that day or the next. No more shutting down my computer at night and forgetting that I just closed a few tabs that I had intended to read. Then the next day I have to go find those links again. That's if I even remember that there was something I was really interested in reading.

Some reasons to continue to use Firefox ever since its inception is; Multi-Account Containers, an exclusive container for Facebook, built in Pocket - book mark.

I didn’t know these websites can steal your fingerprints, that’s scary as heck! I love that you give reasons and go the extra step of showing us how to use the features. I use Firefox exclusively and didn’t know half this stuff. I’m leaning towards removing Chrome from my machine and somehow stop using gmail.

I did quit Chrome in 2019 after Chrome slowed my PC to nearly locking up and installed Firefox and I enjoy Firefox and set it as my default browser.

The reason why I stay on FF for so many years is the multi-row tab add-on that's not available anywhere.
