I used that app for a long time! Loved being able to track my hockey fitness. Had to stop once I switched to the Warrior covert gloves because my Apple watch was a bit snug under the cuff. However, I recommend for anyone with an Apple Watch!

The aggregated stats get better the more you use it, as it uses your previous measurements to create new baselines as you go. Been using it for my first year of beer league. Being able to see the trends over a year is great when you're just starting.

That ice looks extremely wet! I'm amazed the puck is not stop/freezing on you. I am 60 playing oldtimers (40 over), once a week ) I would be afraid to use this device lol

I've been using a chest-based heart rate monitor with my Garmin for a couple of years. Only collects basic stats - heart rate, calories burned, etc. Pretty cool to see how fleshed out the apple watch app is.

fwiw - subjectively, your heart rate data seems pretty accurate to me. My heart rate zones look simliar to yours. One time I forgot my monitor at home and used only the watch, and the heart rate data was really bad; basically stuck in zone 1/2 the entire time, didn't pick up anything higher.

I will say the speed is sometimes a little off. I remember getting 24mph and getting stoked, just to realize that’s as fast as McDavid and uhhhh I know I’m nowhere near as fast as McDavid 🤣

I love this app! Not always 100% accurate (said I hit hit 25mph one game which assuredly did not happen), but overall pretty close. Fun for tracking in beer league

I haven’t got great results from the shifts portion. I play roller and my team is short players so I’m constantly out there 5-6 minutes at a time. This app has a setting and the max is 3 min per shift so it’s completely jacked up for me. Otherwise seems ok tracking heart rate ect.

Has anyone figured out how to activate it via Siri. It’s an excellent app as I use it for both reffing and playing but my biggest problem is forgetting to start it. So we somehow accidentally activated it asking Siri but we didn’t know exactly what we said to trigger it.
