Hello! My son also likes garage doors. At first I thought he just wanted to go outside, then I thought maybe it was the acoustics in the shop, but he is just as interested in the actual garage door. He is also interested in blinds that go up and down with the beaded chain, which is similar to how the door in our machine shop works.

I wonder if your son might elaborate on what it is that he enjoys or finds interesting about garage doors? Also, is it bad for the door to open and close it repeatedly, or is that something I need to let go of? And finally, can you guys recommend any toys or activities for inside that would satisfy this interest? Because it is freezing outside, so we can’t just open and close the doors all the time!

Both doors need oiling, and the chain on the little door needs to be tightened.
