Hey guys sorry I was wrong about the Sugar Cane growing 6X faster, (Didnt realize minecraft fandom was basically Wikipedia)
I misread it and it actually is 6X more common to find sugar cane in dessert biomes and 2X in swamps.

Sorry about that!

If anyone gets confused with the redstone part, when he places the “compactor” it’s not actually a compactor, its a repeater

For those wanting to make the farm more efficient, you should use mud instead of dirt/sand and put hoppers underneath connecting to the middle hopper. This way you don't lose any sugar cane and get the best results. The mud isn't a full block so the items can go through it and into the hopper. It's more expensive, but worth it if you want to collect that extra sugar cane.

as someone who only ever dabbles in minecraft this was a massive help for the server I'm on. Video was easy to follow and clearly defined what needed to happen. Dunno if you take requests but would love to see how to make an auto-nether wart farm.

for those who want to test it or think its not working, go to the sugar cane closest to the observer. from there you can put 3 sugar cane there and if it doesnt work than idk whats happening. also rn im on 1.21.3 and it still works.

That sugar cane growth thing is wrong. It *spawns* 6 times more often in desert, it doesn't grow faster

It’s 4AM right now so in a bit I’ll try this

If anyone is confused with the tutorial because the farm doesn't work, try moving the observer 1 block forward. The observer only recognizes things that is directly in front of it. The observer doesn't work if you just only a 1 block difference. To all my fellow Bedrock players I struggled to figure out what was happening for a while but I learned what went wrong.

to anyone who is confused about the sugar cane landing on the sand, I found a fix for it. Instead of sand use mud, then go below the mud and place hoppers connecting to each other and leading all the way into the main middle one. Then that should put it in the chest.

Wait so how does this actually work, I built the farm and nothings happening so I need. A lever or something

It's a good farm, but there's 1 problem. I went to get the loot, and like half of the sugar cane was on the sand where it grew, instead of falling in the water

Great tutorial, clear instructions and the farm was easy to build! I made 5 of these in my base and they're working out great.

HELP! This farm isn't working for some reason. It worked for a moment then I built a redfarm directly behind it to mirror it for another but it somehow broke my farm.
I removed it but that didn't help. I removed the redstone completely and replaced the redstone repeater, redstone and observer exactly the way it was but the observer won't activate the pistons.
What do? It's built exactly as shown. Do I replace canes too? I am 1.21 bedrock PC. It worked for a while initially and I got two stacks of 64 canes but now it won't work.

Good tutorial! I will say though that where you say to use a comparator, you actually need to use a repeater. besides that, nice and simple. i wish you well on your youtube journey

For anyone saying it doesnt work its because the Sugar cane has to grow 3blocks tall

Idk if it’s different for bedrock but you don’t actually need a repeater I tested it on my iPad lmao
