This is not a song, it is a monument. Pet Shop Boys are turning 40 this year and so am I , 36 as a Pethead since the very first time I saw the videos for "Heart " " It's a sin " ... I was a very little child who was just shockingly amazed by the beauty of the songs and the imagery ...this video takes me right back there.

I can say that "Nonetheless " is arguably my favourite album since "Behaviour " .

This is a very special year for me and I'm happy Neil & Chris are still with me as they've always been .

1986, getting home from school and turning on MTV, watching the video for "Opportunities" and thinking "What the hell *is this? ...and why do I like it?" Almost 40 years later, all their albums on record, cassette, CD and digital, nearing retirement and watching this on YouTube. I feel like we've been on a journey with them, and they with us.
