Boris, said total UK direct support to date is
$ 530 million. Britain produces 1 million bbls oil per day. Windfall increase of $50 per bbl is enough to cover this in 10 days. So, consumers get double whammy. Taxpayer support to govt. Plus transfer of windfall dollars to Oil producers.
Perhaps they should consider a war premium tax on oil producers to pay for this. Oil producers are making a fortune off this crisis .
Production costs are same as they were in December, with a lovely war windfall of $50 bbl. That's $5 Billion per day.
