Brendan Fraser was one of the most well-known actors at the turn of the millennium. His big smile and perfectly-timed humor instantly won our hearts over. Fraser’s acting range was impeccable as he was cast in silly children's movies, action-packed cinematic hits, and even had lead roles in critically acclaimed films. In Hollywood, Fraser was on his way to -- or arguably already at -- the top.

Although he’s still currently cast in motion pictures, his presence has become far less prominent. Why is that? Has Hollywood dumped Brandan Fraser, or has he decided to take a step back of his own accord? We investigate.

Fraser was my favorite actor as a young adult.It's fucked up what Hollywood and aging can do to a guy. I'm only 87 years old, but I still have a little while.

The Mummy 3 didn't tank because of Brendan. It was because Hollywood didn't give a fuck about giving him a good story or actors to work with. They changed his wife and child, they changed the location, loaded it with shitty CGI, and disconnected everything that made the cast and franchise so close. I think the second component was his ex-cunt of a wife. She knew he was suffering a lack of stardom and she not only wanted out of her leeching marriage, but she decided to bleed him dry under the guise of child support. If anything, the failed Mummy reboot should be evidence enough that Brendan still holds value both humor and nostalgia wise.

What?! I LOVED Blast from the Past! They also failed to mention "With Honors" where he approaches his friend he is in love with and as she asks what he's doing as he's about to kiss her, he says, "Ending our friendship." Best scene ever.

In all honesty, I think it's his age. That goofy, innocent type of character only works when you are young or really old. But mostly young.

I guess I have a perfect record of liking what critics hate and hating what critics like. I like Blast From the Past and have watched it many times. I know it's not an Academy Award winning flick but it was good entertainment, and that's why I watch movies.
