This Is Why Zach Braff Got Dumped By Hollywood

He rose to fame as the star of the hit sitcom Scrubs, but ever since the medical comedy ended, we haven’t been hearing as much from Zach Braff. During the show’s run, Braff also won critical acclaim as the writer, director, and star of the 2004 romantic-comedy Garden State, and while he has continued to direct, he has never duplicated the success of his debut feature.

Braff is still working, and despite a lull in recent years, he’s planning a major comeback vehicle. Let’s take a look at why it felt like Zach Braff had been dumped by Hollywood for a few years.

I think the problem with Zach is its almost impossible to remove the image of him from his character on Scrubs.

This almost sounds like Zach Braff is about to become a real-life Bojack Horseman

I'm glad to hear the reruns are still generating revenue for the scrubs cast. They deserve it

he's never been the dashing heartthrob type. he's always been more quirky and offbeat. I adore him, and I've loved everything he's done. he's doing just fine for himself.

So obviously he did not get “dumped” by Hollywood

got dumped...?

where is the part when you explain this? but first:

he wasnt even dumped, it's just he's doing what he likes, as he doesnt need the money.

remember when Dr Cox's best friend died, and JD stayed by his side until Dr Cox came back to his senses? one if my favorites

He's too goofy looking to a leading man in anything other than comedy.

He couldn't outgrow the twentysomething comic/angsty persona he had in EVERY role he was in, and it wore on people after awhile, especially when he aged out of that character. Audiences will only take him seriously now if he can play someone else or an older, 'evolved' version of his previous characters.

"Wish I was Here" was a good movie.

Dude was amazing as JD, but I've always felt the reason for that was because he literally is JD. In each and every other one of his performances you can see JD... He just is JD. The best thing he could do is create a follow-up on scrubs, lol.

I have a weird thing for Zach Braff. Garden State hit me in a weird way at a weird time in my life.

Scrubs is the epitome of my 20’s. To say I was obsessed with that show is an understatement. He will always be one of my favorite actors. Loved the last kiss, garden state, and even the ex. I thought the ex was great. And I about cried when I saw him on arrested development. But I have noticed he fell off the face of the earth.

I thought him and Dax Shepard were brothers.

Zach has a sweet and easy sense of humor. He often reminds me of my childhood and how sometimes "the child within" takes control and how all that can be ...awesome...yeah Zach does that pretty well.

Considering he's starring in an upcoming movie with Robert Deniro, I think you might want to retitle this video 😬
