Problem with Michael Pearl on Eternal Security

Amen brother! There seems to be some view that one cannot go into heresy and still be saved. It is now a common teaching among those who claim to hold to eternal security, like Anderson.

Yes Agree what your saying but yes Michael has some faults like all of us but still has good teachings.

I would encourage you to watch his series on 1st John. There he mentions in a more concise way his belief on this matter.

“If they were of us they would have *no doubt* continued with us.”

This shows us that Christians will absolutely continue in the faith no matter what. If you depart, you were never saved. Mike goes on to say that a saved person cannot lose their salvation. That’s like saying someone’s faith is dead because they’re paralyzed and can’t do works to glorify God. That’s nonsense and it’s paranoia induced what-a-bout-ism.

He does mention leaving your faith in Jesus Christ and subscribing to some belief that states that Jesus is not equal with God, though I believe that just means someone didn’t truly understand and was deceived into believing something false.
At the end of the day, God’s not looking for any reason to throw us into hell like a lawyer. He wouldn’t have sent us his son if that were the case.

God bless you brother Phil....I saw a few videos of this man some time back and he really sounded solid, but as I've grown....Holy Spirit spoke to me about some of his comments, and he is not so sound. Glad you are seeing this. That is the Holy Spirit confirming in you. Amen!

Brother Philip, you have shown that you are not a respector of persons and are a good Berean.
Its so disappointing when you learn more about a particular teacher and false teachings. When I discovered Bryan’s heresies, it was upsetting and I had to recheck almost everything I believed (I knew I believed the correct Gospel however). God Bless!

Good catch! I heard him say that GOD is one person too, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I checked his website. Now with these other things I’m convinced not to watch him.

I am just trying to understand exactly what is being talked about here. Is it that you believe that no matter what, you vocabulary not lose your salvation? Or is he saying something that I am not picking up that you disagree with?

The real problem is that you people that you and others like you believe in the wrong Grace of God. There is no such thing as OSAS. Really people, get the true Grace of God.
