Hyundai Infamous Ticking/Tapping Noise Resolved

Mysterious Ticking ,Knocking, Tapping Noise From Engine Valve Cover area explained:)

In this video shown 2013 Hyundai Velosters High Pressure fuel pump ticking noise.Some say its valve lifter , timing Chain or Crankshaft bearings in my case its fuel pump. its not affected car performance just high annoying noise maybe it going bad.

If u wanna check as I checked. Remove engine plastic cover and unplug fuel pump from upper right side of engine. U will get check engine light after doing it make sure clear dtc codes after that.

The high pressure fuel pump should not be that loud. yes they make noise as to why they put a foam insulator on top of it to keep it quiet but that sounds like its going bad😬😬

You should drive it now but leave unplugged 😂

If anyone wants a new high pressure fuel pump for 2014 veloster turbo let me know. I just bought one and it wasnt my problem. Minimal ticking.

Cam roller. $100. Take out the fuel pump, take out the OLD CAM ROLLER, REPLACE with NEW CAM ROLLER, no more ticking.. jesus

Got the same problem with my 2013 genesis 3.8
