If I find a village, I don’t tend to think of it as a looting spot to just loot and leave, I think of it as a long term investment, I got a very early mending enchantment because of that. On the surface villages aren’t the most lootable places, but I think they rank among the most useful things to find in minecraft, you will have work for it though.

Honestly kind of bad advice by trying to not search for villages. They are broken because 1. Free loot 2. Villagers are broken because of food and books 3. You can make a little villager base and maybe even a home nearby or you could steal a house.

My brother finds villages not for the loot but for the villagers.. because you can breed and trade the villagers from 1.14- 1.19(the latest version) and if you have for example a smithing table you are gonna get a specific profession of a villager for example...

But 1.13 to other lower versions this short is very basically I'm saying of you know villager professions you can get such good trades becuz again specific villagers give specific trades depending on their profession

In my opinion, I find villages very useful from beginning to mid game, larger villages tend to have more hay bales to feed your animals, or make bread for the villagers that you can make a trading hall with, a lucky blacksmith could be nice because its extra loot. I ALWAYS build my house near a village so I can start exploiting villagers to full potential🤓🤓

Villagers is really good for getting free enchanted diamond gear. You can always just use a grindstone and make a enchanting table setup to get your own enchants or use villagers for enchanting books.

If there's a village near spawn make sure you use that village since villagers are a very good mob for progression i recommend watching villager trading guides

Real Pros Playing at reality :
Spawn and mine wood, find a villager first and sleep at there, plus respawn set at bed--> mine until you get 1 stack of diamonds+iron--> make a bucket and get water, find a lava pool nearby, enter nether, find a bastion 2 ~ 3 times and loot all golds and netherites(if its not enough mine it) ---> find a fortress and get 10 blaze rods and loot pearls, and get out the nether--> upgrade all your gears netherite, and get mending etc at the village and enchant---> (now your time do that you want to do it make a house or farm it nvm)---> get enough gunpowder and sugarcane(for firework rockets)---> make a ender eyes and find a stronghold and defeat the enderdragon, go to the portal and find a elytra, and get half a stack of shulker shells by hunting them.---> enjoy! (Well this is me, my friends ways playing minecraft lmao its quite good)

chop 2 trees get shield bucket and iron pic iron axe too if u got more iron, then enter nether with a lava pool (get aome sugarcane and gunpowder on the way)and speed run to end then loot end city for max gear and find village to trade the rest of enchants u dont have
