The Next YEAR of WoW: Patch Dates, BfA’s End, The NEXT Xpack & Blizzard’s Future

For Blizzard, and their games, the next year is sure to be a defining one. For anyone to trust them again, they'll need to come out swinging this November. All of their franchises have been underserved for years now, and the glass is on the verge of shattering. Surely they'll have something for everyone at Blizzcon, right?

I'd rather Blizz released behind schedule. Better content be completed than, well, broken.

Personally I don't care if there's a big content drought as long as what we end up with is fun, practical and well-tested.

"Anime Places"
"Hentai'd to Death"

Loving Bellular's use of words lately.

Feels much, much longer than a year into BfA. :/

Anyone else no longer playing, but still watch Bellular regularly?

I kind of miss when expansions were disconnected, and there was a very clear end boss/villain like Illidan, Lich King, Death Wing etc, that you would move towards the whole expansion

WoW has evolved in all the wrong ways. It's getting closer and closer to a hub based mmo like SkyForge and away from its RPG roots in favor of ease of access, streamlining, and catering to the wrong audience. They need to go back to their D&D roots...

Honestly watching asom and bellular go bald helps me accept my hair making its way to the twisting nether too.

BfA was the best WoW expansion ever as it pushed me to try FFXIV this year for my MMO fix and I haven't looked back at WoW since.

I know change is good to keep a game alive, but I just feel like the direction Blizzard has taken the game has just been uninspired and really lazy. I thoroughly enjoyed Legion after suffering through WoD and MoP to a lesser extent, but switching it back to mediocre really killed my love for current WoW.

Looking forward to Classic! One month away!

Has anyone noticed that the more successful expansions in this game so far have all been where the horde and Alliance share the main city.. especially Dalaran..Wrath and Legion probably the two most favorite expansions by most people.

I'm at a weird middle ground where I personally can't stand the current game but also don't want to play Classic because I don't want to go through that grind again. I'm just missing Wrath :(

im under the assumption that when we beat azshara and nzoth took her they'll be mia for a bit. i think 8.2.5 will involve us trying to track them down and getting some clues but then something happens to draw our attention back to finish the faction war (probably an invasion of stormwind with the horde players siding with thrall's team and helping defend stormwind from silvanus). they'll talk about 8.3 at blizzcon mentioning it'll finish the faction war, then they'll ask "but what of nzoth and azshara?" and then reveal the next expansion as some black empire / old god thing (maybe the "shadowlands" that was leaked)... this makes the most sense to me to have 8.3's story not spoiled by 9.0's reveal.

I hope the Dragon Isles turns out to be more than just a patch. I’ve loved Nazjatar... but after all this time, a single WQ zone and raid felt a little underwhelming for Azshara and her story.

Regardless of patch and expansion timing, I just don't see Blizzard swallowing their pride and reverting game systems back to a time when they made sense. I think BfA is just a taste of what is to come: Blizzard designing the game for the uber hardcore and the uber casual, and completely neglecting the majority of people in the middle.
