Renowned businessman and educator Sizwe Nxasana says despite 30 years of democracy, fundamental issues in education still persist, contributing to joblessness and inequality.

Nxasana outlined his concerns during his lecture on the democratization of accounting in higher education, at UNISA's Muckleneuk Campus in Pretoria.

He emphasised that young people needed an education that will provide them with access to opportunities and meaningful economic participation.
