We define corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain.

Corruption erodes trust, weakens democracy, hampers economic development and further exacerbates inequality, poverty, social division and the environmental crisis.

Exposing corruption and holding the corrupt to account can only happen if we understand the way corruption works and the systems that enable it.

Transparency is a great concept. However, the video lacks (avoids) the beginning: Why there is corruption? Who initiates corruption? What conditions create and later stimulate further corruption? Instead of wasting resources to solve the problem, how do we disolve it i.e. what needs to be restructured so that both the cause and its effects will disappear?

This is so true! Corruption continues to be a challenge in many countries, especially in developing ones. For example, in Peru, 17 billion soles have been recently lost by acts of corruption in 2019. This means fewer opportunities for Peruvians to pull out of poverty. Also, this money could have been used to build more hospitals and schools. We can stop corruption if every country regulates its functionaries, so countries' economic growth will maximize chances for a better life for all.

Corruption affects me because a YouTuber made a video last week about a group of Traffickers that are watching me but apparently they’re being watched.
I think our Government needs to be held accountable for Trafficking and find ways to fix the problem so no one has to fall victim to it

I think the consequence of any trash in charge in any country in the world abusing their power should be horrific in order to bring useful deterrence .. I think all creepiness that all ancient mythologies mentioned was motivated by penalizing power abuse .. digging a big hole in ground throwing the criminals who abuse their power in and set them on fire like trash was likely the origin of concept of hell of many belief system and mythologies .. though within the capabilities and freakishness of power abuse nowadays over quite vital option over life and death issues.. it does not seem being a bad deterring option .. capital punishment and seizing everything of any trash abuse their power especially top leaders they should be certain that there will be nothing but hell beyond that .. they should be certain of what they will get and power abuse crimes should never be neither forgiven nor forgotten.. it should be the first and last mistake of anyone in charge ...

What it is people pay bribes to keep officials from performing their duty. So offering any benefit, advantage or money or value to any official, not intended as a bribe, still has the counter productive affect of them just not doing their job. But then solicitation is a crime too
