Do you have other cabin types that are often listed as "WORST CABINS" but you actually PREFER them?

You forgot to include cabins under or above any public areas 😊

I had the Port hole windows in the front and I loved it.

I love how you are giving the pros and cons of all the cabins. You are telling us who would like the cabins and why. Great info.

Back in May we wife and I had a fear-facing wake-view balcony on Celebrity Eclipse to Bermuda. We loved it! No exhaust smell, I think because we were on the lowest deck that had that kind of room (deck 6). The view was called obstructed, but only because of the protruding roof of the restaurant below us. It really didn’t block our view at all. No restaurant noise, either. Absolutely no issues with noises, smells, or motion sickness. Yes, it was a long walk to elevators, but we didn’t mind that at all; it actually made us feel like we were in a quieter, more exclusive part of the ship. We loved sitting on the balcony and staring at the wake. It was mesmerizing.

We stayed on a rear-facing cabin on the Serenade of the Seas, and it was great. The views were great, and we did not have any complaints about engine noise, people noise or fumes. It was a long walk from the elevators to our cabin, but the extra steps just gave me an excuse to eat an extra dessert or stop by the ice cream machine one more time.

One room I would not book are the cabins that are right across from elevators, the Centrum area or other spots that see a lot of traffic. We like to be close to elevators and stairs for convenience, but always a couple of cabins up to cut down on noise.

The only rooms I’d say to avoid are ones if you are sensitive to noise. Between being in the Navy & taking several cruised I feel like this whole forward, middle & aft thing & feeling the ship moving is kind of over stated. The difference is extremely minimal but if you’re on lower decks you will hear more of the engine noise and anchor dropping.

I’ll also say this about the infant balconies, I think it was a good idea in concept but not in practicality. I actually think Princess did it the best way. I forgot what they call them but they created sort of this walled off sitting room with a TV between the stateroom and the balcony. This way you can chose to have sort of an extended balcony if you want and not have to worry about the temperature of the room or you can have a separate sitting area where two people are on different schedules where one likes to wake up early they can sit in that area, have a continental breakfast and not disturb the other person.

I've booked an obstructed ocean view cabin for a future cruise. It was only a little more than an inside cabin, and I've stayed in an inside cabin and really didn't like that it was pitch black with lights out. Don't really care about seeing out - I'll go outside for that, but want a little natural light.

I took a cruise in November and was worried about a Wake Balcony for motion sickness. I hadn't been cruising in over 20 years, so I wasn't sure if I'd be sick or not. But I took the chance because of the view. I only experienced rocking one night, but the whole ship did. I had no issues with engine noise or fumes. I have rebooked an aft Balcony for May!! I think that will always be my room type now.

we loved our aft 2 bdrm suite we had on Independence of the seas, only part that was not great was some soot on the balcony. We also had a family "suite" on IOS looking into the promenade, our kids hung up signs back and forth with kids across. It was a great size for 5 people with a walk in closet. In 7 days we will be sailing in a boardwalk balcony with a view of the aquatics show ( last one in the rear ) we hope its great. Sure it will be

We recently had an Infinite Verandah cabin cruising the Norwegian fjords. It was ideal for that itinerary because we could sit watching the scenery sail by without getting drenched or having to put on extra layers to go outside. I would NOT choose this kind of cabin for a hotter climate since it is basically a sun room catching the heat and the AC shuts off when the window is open.

1. Our balcony was upgraded to the 11/F rear facing at the back of MSC Meraviglia, its really too far to walk back and forth to the elevator, but dont hear the engine noise.
2. We dont mind the infinite verandah at the Celebrity Apex
3. I really dont like the obstructed view of any balcony
4. Once we stayed on the 9/F on the Norwegian Breakaway, right on top of the jazz club, very noisy with the drums even after 11 pm.
5. I agree that there is NO privacy at the inside facing balcony, but love the Central Park view.
We have booked Symphony of the Sea the 9/F inside room with big window facing Central Park!

On Wonder of the Seas my daughters had an obstructed view balcony cabin that had a single 4-6" support post going up to the pool deck. That was no issue at all. - Being below the Mason Jar was an issue. Great music until Midnight + clean up time after. Hard to get to sleep. That's what we need to avoid going forward.

We stayed in obstructed view once. The lifeboat near our windows kept us up with a steady thumping noise all night long. During the day it was lowered for drills.

ICON Junior suite are only forward close to elevators. Do you have any complaints?

Royal Caribbean probably didn't give a lengthy though on how those infinity cabins will work for people in general. When I saw the introduction to those cabins I though there will be some sort of secondary barrier that would block incoming air from outside once tha balcony window opens. They should add a clear French Door type curtain wall. Of course it will add costs to them, but I think in the long run more guests won't have a problem with them.

I wouldn’t mind the Surfside Balconies…kids aren’t usually up past a certain time late at night, and most kid activities and events are over by 10pm. But I heard that Central Park may have jazz or chamber-like music up to 2am

Great points! I love watching your videos. I love your accent; I love your hair; I love your smile. OMG! Am I falling in love with you?? LOL! No worries, I'm gay, so I'm not going to start stalking you or anything creepy like that! 🤣
