My wife and I lived off grid in the wood.

My wife died last year.

All I can say...
Young man....
Look to your side.
There stands a wonderful woman.

Appreciate these times

Great video. Most people think about the romantic idea of living off grid. But there's a lot of work involved however you guys being a team and doing it together makes it all worthwhile! Thanks.

Loved every minute of this one guys. Lots of us out here understand how much effort goes into shooting a 20 minute video. We’re watching so please keep it up. From one homesteader to the next. Cheers

I’m sure I would like living like this. I’ve been wanting to move to Alaska. They are surrounded by heavenly nature. Many modern people are drawn to nature, to their ethnic roots. Simple, self-sustaining life is a way to go. It’s good for the earth & life on earth. I view modern urbanization as something negative & very destructive, but that’s just my own perception of it. I’m happy for them, and maybe even a little jealous, because they’ve already begun their off grid self-sustaining life, means they are safe from the horrors that are coming in the future. These guys secured their bloodline, safely existing of-grid, not relying on any system, or on anyone. Living a healthy beautiful life. Good for you guys.

This is the second video I've watched from your channel and I just want to say thanks for sharing your lives and home with the internet. Currently, the world is enduring a pandemic that is creating much uncertainty for many, including myself. Watching this video brought me back to the days when I could roam the wilderness only needing to be concerned for large predators, not microscopic viruses. Thanks for helping me get a break from the chaos!

You guys are the modern day pioneers. In such a short period of time it seems like this is so natural . The work to sustain life is constant and extremely hard but the rewards show on your faces. Your beautiful inside and out. Thx for sharing parts of your journey called "life"

I like watching fellow Alaskans as I have been one since 1970, right after service worked in the south east till 89 then came to Anchorage but as soon as I visited Wasilla area and I was hooked so moved to valley in 98 and never left. Your garden looks so good. I can live on beet greens!! I lived on a float house in the southeast and had sea food year round. I even had a garden on my float which was large. Seabass and all kinds of fish that probably never had a name, ( very ugly)/LOL I subscribed this morning cause your the kind of people I like even if I am 72

Look at Bou walking for distances and getting out on his own. You both are smiling and kind of giddy. It's amazing what a few years can change. ❤

I'm subbing so I can watch Alaska, and I really like homesteading vids... It was something I always dreamed of doing, but a bad car accident 25 yrs ago ruined that, & been in a wheel chair for 7 yrs. So live well, joyfully and show us your dream comming true, and lots of beautiful scenery too. Thanks!

I've been watching your guys' videos for a month, and I'm glad that I have been because I felt ready for the winter as it arrived. Just got back from our families places after the holidays, and our home was freezing, our (non metal) pipes just froze, our oven quit working, and I was stocked up with water and ideas to heat the house, wash the dishes, and everything.

Your guys' attitude and work ethic has been very inspiring, so thank you for sharing your chilly lifestyle. ✨
