EmuELEC Installation Fix (Failed to Mount Core...) - EEMC202

Even after a fake check, we get the error "(FAILED) Failed to mount Cores directory" on EmuELEC installation.
In this guide we offer a few solutions.

This error occurred on the A9 s905x 2gb box, perhaps on other boxes too?

Hello,
I bought the 256GB version but it only comes to the start animation (there are probably different versions) and then the picture freezes, at least the selection menu doesn't appear.
Am I doing something wrong or is the SD card defective? The seller only wants to refund me a small amount, but he won't send me a new SD card...
Can I download the image of the 256GB SD card somewhere so that I can use it to record a new card?

hi i recently bought the x96 max i have tried all the s905x3 files but none of them seem to make the wifi work the internet is only working via ethernet? any help would be very much appreciated

Look I need some help I’ve accidentally reserved the system configs along with the binaries and scrips amd all of the cores and much are gone I still have my roms but they won’t work without all of the scripts and binaries and other olconfiguration. Now I boot at the retro arch menu and it says controller not configured and I now can’t do anything with it, please help.

Hi ! I have a problem with my Powkiddy Max2. In the menu, on the device, I changed system to Retroarch and after booting, I have a black screen and can not go back to emuelec. How can I change that ? What can I do ? :(

I have updated Emuelec on my odroid go super to 4.6 after rebooting the handheld. It show failed to userconfig.service and then went to black screen. Does anyone know what happened? Do I need to reinstall a fresh copy of the firmware?

I have a problem, but I really don't know much about programming. Everytime I try to download Tomb Raider 1, 2 or 3 the game won't launch even though it has the .pbp extension. The page that shows says emuelec error and a white page with the run log.

i have a GXL P281 2gb( s905w ) and there are no options for "slowemmc" and i'am pretty sure i can't use one of those p212's when mine is a p281, my sdcard is fine and i only have the one tvbox, any ideas what i can try now?

I'm having a problem with Emuelec 3.9 with the X96Max plus. I got it to install on the first boot (correct device tree), then after shutdown and added my games it wouldn't boot ever again, goes straight to android. I tried the reset button trick but it goes to a maintenance screen, nothing useful.

Hi all. I do have the same problem with X96 mini p281 2G/16G. I tried with a 16GB microSD (the original one arrived with a Rasberry), then I bought a faster and brand new Sandisk Extreme 64GB V30 (160MB/s read, 60MB/s write, they say), but same problem. Any additional tip? there is no a "slow card reader" for 281 in my folders. Thanks a lot
