Downloads and Flashing to MicroSD

   03. Run Balena Etcher
   04. Burn Batocera image to microSD card
   05. Safely remove microSD and re-insert
   06. Ignore/close the Windows dialogs to format the inserted microSD card
   07. Open the microSD card in Explorer and navigate to the /boot directory
   08. Locate the .dtb file name that corresponds to target Amlogic processor
   10. Update the FDT= line to point to the correct .dtb file in the /boot directory

Booting to Batocera for the First Time
--------------------------------------------------------------------
   01. Plug the power adapter into the Android TV box
   02. If the device has never booted from external storage before the stock Android OS will load
   03. In Android, navigate to the application drawer ≫ Run Update & Backup
   05. Select Update
   06. The system will reboot twice and should then begin booting Batocera from the microSD card
   07. You should see the Batocera splash screen
   08. Setup Your Controller
   09. Game

To people who have S905x3, you must install Batocera "Amlogic S905 tvbox gen3", not "Amlogic S905/S905x".

There is no s905 dtb file, just x, d, and w. Which one for s905, please? My device is gone for sleep.

Running a D905 Android Box 9.0. Box is only an s905, (no letter behind it.) The dtb says p281, but for some reason it doesn't boot from anything located in the boot folder.

Hey i just update my batucera it ask me to reboot the system and now it wondt boot up. Its just black screen and info helps a lot

I have enough of card corruption on my original Emuelec 4.6 boot system on my Android TV Box Super Console X2pro😖.

So i‘m thinking of flashing Batocera 39 for the s905x2 on a Micro-SD Device per Etcher for the console and boot from it. Do you think it will work, doing the same like in your video or will it change something directly inside the device? Without an sd-card it boots into the Android TV-Section with the Emuelec-Libre App. With the Emuelec-game-SD-card it boots directly into Emulationstation.

I also have a portable version of batocera for Linux wich i use on a mini-pc and noticed that there‘s an option in Batocera (inside ES-DE Frontend) to clone the whole system to another usb or sd for different devices like X86 64bit, S905x, etc.

Will this be better? Is it cloning everything from the card to another usb drive or sd-card?? (retroarch, settings, etc..). ???

Attempting to edit the boot partition with windows, is proving rather difficult. Since this is a Linux code I am beyond newbie and I haven’t any clue how to edit it.

Good morning, I have a TV box X96 X4 S905X4. However, recently, I installed firmware from another TV box with similar performance, the BOXPUT BP4 S905X4, on my X96 X4 TV box.

Now I'm trying to restore the original firmware of my X96 X4 TV box, but my computer no longer recognizes the device. I'm a little lost and would like to ask for your help, please. What should I do?

I have Batocera running perfectly on my HK1 s905x3 device, but the remote no longer powers it on so I have to unplug it and plug it back in to work. Any ideas on a solution to that?

I'm not sure what i'm missing here.
I have a t95x TV box, however, it has Aidan's Custom Rom and there's no local update option on it.
It also has TWRP recovery, but the SD Partition doesn't show up.
Any workaround for that?
