Installing Emuelec 4.6 on HK1 Box 2022

I just found out you can install Emuelec 4.6 on the latest HK1 Box. One correction in the video, be sure to first boot up without the SD card and set the resolution to 1080p 60! This box is perfect for retro gaming since it supports the latest version of Emuelec! No need to run an app to boot from SD Card. Just use a cut Q-Tip in the audio port. Don't forget to set the correct DTB file!

Thanks Gary for the video, The error is due to the dtb file, I used sms1_s905x3_4g_1gbt.dtb and I don't have the error at startup.

Huge tip for people that have "something similar to the HK1 Box but the boot doesn't work". 1. Check the bottom of your box 2. Look at the sticker 3. find which one matches your cpu and ram, for example if the CPU is S905x4 and the Ram is 4G then look for the device tree that is like it, this is how it will look if it matches the CPU and ram I said earlier "sc2_905x4_4g.dtb". The first 3 text from the dtb file are not really important to look over. 4. Copy it and paste it to the main folder, then add rename the file to "dtb.img", make sure that you have file name extensions enabled which is in view on the top for windows users.

Hi, i sucessfully done installing and all work fine, but i connected my hk1-rbox, s905x4, connected to HDMI pc monitor, for audio I was using 3.5mm port, but emuelec is not playing through it

4.6 controller override setting on in retroarch will change control set by you, so you won't screw over by the in game emulator control settings

Thanks for the tutorial. Does your 8bitdo pro 2 have issues with Emuelec 4.6? I installed Emuelec 4.7 and I have issues with the L2 and R2 button in game.

Example: On PS1 I can't use the L2 and R2 buttons in game but on the Emuelec main menu it's working. According to ChatGPT many are having this issue. I updated the firmware on the controlller and it's still the same. Tried playing Steam games and the L2 and R2 button work.

I just bought a H6 gamebox for $80, it canes with 128GB running 905X3 (is it good for gaming purpose)? And ffs it is in Chinese language, I need to manually install for English version. Please may I know whether the process is the same?

Hello,
I bought the 256GB version of the box, but it only comes to the start animation (there are probably different versions) and then the picture freezes, at least the selection menu doesn't appear.
Am I doing something wrong or is the SD card defective? The seller only wants to refund me a small amount, but he won't send me a new SD card with correct installed software on it...
Can I download the image of the 256GB SD card somewhere so that I can use it to record a new card?

I just installed EmuElec 4.6 on my TV box with an S905X3. Been running EmuElec 4.0 on it for 2+ years. And now that I wanna upgrade the microSD to a bigger one, 256GB, I thought I'd move up to EmuElec 4.6 as well.

Thing is though, I can't seem to download new themes and the bezels aren't showing up despite my selecting 'Enable RA Bezels' in settings.

Any idea how to enable the bezels and change the theme?
