The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster is 'A Frightening Experience with a Social Twist' | Best Bets

Показать описание
Looking for a frightening film with a social twist? Tim Gordon brings us a welcome new take on a Mary Shelley classic with The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster. Writer-director Bomanti J. Story is fusing Jordan Peele's cultural dynamic with Shelley's classic Frankenstein for his intense directorial debut. The film largely succeeds on the talent of its lead, Laya DeLeon Hayes. Her character inhabits trauma, anger, and sense of loss while maintaining a vulnerability lacking in many seasoned actors.
