👉Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and the most common cause of dementia. It primarily affects memory, thinking, and behavior.

👉Pathophysiology: involves the buildup of amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles. These disrupt cell communication and nutrient transport, causing neuron death.

👉Symptoms: Begins with mild memory loss and word-finding difficulties. As it progresses, confusion, recognition issues, and language challenges increase.

👉Management: Cholinesterase inhibitors and memantine can help manage symptoms.

From what I read when we started cutting out fats in our day-to-day diet there was a noticeable increase of Alzheimer’s disease. And as we cut more and more fat out the number of Alzheimer’s disease cases. For instance, my fiancé works at a retirement facility and she noticed that the people who continued to eat semi-fatty fatty foods were less likely to develop Alzheimer’s. She also had three different people eat fatty foods and be fine and then they had to stop for whatever reason they stopped eating fatty foods and they got Alzheimer’s.

I think the reason why fatty food were helping the people not get Alzheimer’s because our brains are made out of like fatty proteins and stuff so for not eating fatty proteins to replenish the fattie proteins that make up your brain. It would make sense that when you cut out fats in your diet that your brain, that is made out of fat would then deteriorate because it’s not getting the correct nutrients that it needs to function properly.
