Having lived in Indonesia as a youngester, it was nice to reminisce as you walked through the country eating the wonderful food. People work hard to make a living everywhere, but Indonesia has a special love and beauty to their cuisine that I miss. Even the fruits taste different in Indonesia. But I do have to get on you a bit...you need to work on your finger manners while you eat.😂! Stop flicking the rice and food off your fingers and use a spoon when provided. The ladies in East Java taught you well by making a firm ball of rice and use it to dip into because it manages the rice on your hands better. But all in all, proud of you for trying it all and being kind to others. Your guide was phenomenl! I know this is a dated video, but you have to go again and show us some more adventures in Indonesia.

I recently found this channel and your other channels, and started a marathon to watch. The content may look the same as the content of other "bule" creators but it will certainly find its own differences and uniqueness. I not only like Max's personality, which is so nice and natural, but how his spontaneous jokes always make me smile, so it's not boring, I really enjoy it. You have tried a lot of food and drinks, which I as an Indonesian may not be able to do. Then curiosity about Indonesian language and culture. Really appreciated! That guide or your friends is SPOT ON! usually when indonesian people want to introduce indonesian food to foreigners they went to a very "Safe place" either nasi goreng, bakso etc (i'm not hating it btw but it's very hard to messed up that food) but in this video you guys went all in very good job for you for daring to try it and the guide for picking up the place
