I'm one of those players who has bought this game a few days back and going through your guides. You have done a fantastic job. Currently I'm earning around 3, 500 and sitting on 2.9 million in the old world. Thank You Taka 😊

The best tip I was given when I was a new player was to remap the production screen to the "tab" key. Trust me, it makes a big difference.

Every time I watch one of your videos, it always makes me want to start a new playthrough.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but I figured I would give two more tips:

The computer will supply materials to production buildings first if they are already on their way to the warehouse. For example if you have a clay pit and put two brick makers on the same road to the warehouse. They will supply the brick makers first if they are closer than the warehouse. This can help alleviate some bottlenecks at the warehouses as you will only have to deal with the final product. In this case bricks instead of clay and bricks at the same time. If the production buildings already have a surplus then it will go to the warehouse anyway.

When you have the opportunity make brick roads. Other than looking nicer they also extend the reach of services and make warehouse relays faster. So having some brick roads leading to the fire station for example will extent it's range making it easier to have more houses protected from fire.

Thanks Taka for your videos!
After playing Anno 1800 and getting really lost, it's always nice to know that there is usually a Taka video that explains some convoluted mechanic that's poorly explained in game. (*cough cough* export trading in docklands)

Even as a "veteran" player. This video was imensely helpful for me to jump back into this amazing game and not take hours to get to Artisans and Engineers.

I'm a long time Anno player but never been a particularly fast or efficient player. Great video to help me get into the meat of the game faster!

Just got Anno for Christmas - been using your Ultimate guide to help me work/learn my way through (ready for artisans) - it's great! I may restart and try this. Happy New Year Taka.

Best videos for this game I've seen. Just bought the game with the 2023 Winter Sale on Steam and I'm sorry i didn't see this game years ago when it came out. It's the kind of game I really like being a seasoned SimCity player. Thanks for the best video instructions for this game. Appreciate all the hard work and that you've updated them recently due to more recent downloads. I especially like the tips to use custom rather than using the defaults.

I've played Anno 1800 on and off over the years but struggled past artisans after hours on farmers and workers, doing the loop you talk about at the end :)
Great video, I will try again not get dragged into that loop....

I thought that I had a good start figured out, but it turns out I missed a couple of things. I found this guide informal and most helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this.

Loved the video! Exceptional as a no nonsense, "just get through it" guide. One thing I do differently is I build about 4-6 Lumberjack/sawmill combos on my main OW island and then about 8 of those setup in the Cape. The reasoning is, I tend to play on normal speed - expert, they don't cost resources other than tiny amounts of coins and its usable as soon as its produced, no transit buffer involved. This does two things: Allows you to fly through the initial phases and if you are heading to the Cape, NW or Arctic and you now have about 14 sawmills churning out massive wood which is the most used building material in the game I also do this with all resources up to windows to boost building speed - feeding them all into whatever island i'm slamming down at Mach speed. Once I get past the Cape and Manola boom they can be deleted but by that point you are rich and have better things to worry about. Also just a word of suggestion, the game is easier when you have time to think and solve issues and there are 4 speed settings. Go slow, we all did at one point. Happy Building!

I’ve played the game for about 10 hours so far and have only just got artisans 🤣 I’ve never played an anno game before so have no clue what I’m doing and have had two failed starts. Will listen closely to this!
