LGCM ANSWERS YOUR SAUSAGE QUESTIONS!

NO! DO NOT BOIL YOUR BRATS IN BEER!

If you want beer brats, cook your brats, then let them sit in beer after they've cooked, but do not boil them in beer! They'll taste rancid and weird. Boiled beer and brats just don't work well together.

They taste fine to me. Sounds to me like you just can’t cook or never grew up with them.

I call a big BS on that one.
1.Boil your brats in straight miller lite with one onion until they start to turn gray
2.Grill until you get grill marks
3.Put back into beer and onions
4.Serve on brat bun

I usually boil them in beer until they grey/brown on both sides then direct grill. I've tried both methods and I prefer the grill after.

Beer brats taste good if you don’t have the pallet of a 2 year old. Stick with your dinosaur chicken nuggets little boy 🙌🔥

It's usually best to use a beer that tastes good warm, or a beer that you wouldn't have shied away from finishing the morning after, when you found it on the table in your twenties

Going to say the majority of everyone in the internet says you are WRONG.

I simmer mine in beer and onions and then I eventually take the beautifully plump brats out once they’re almost cooked all the way through. I cook the onions and the beer down to make best onion jam ever for beer brats. Finish the brats off either in the air fryer for some browning, the grill, smoker or back in the pan
10/10 every single time highly recommend

Totally agree with this. People love the idea but it ruins the brats. The longer you go, the less greasy/juicy they are.

Brats are the best boiled in beer and onions. I suppose this guy thinks Johnsonville are the best? Probably precooked! LOL

I just fried off some sausages, took them out sweated some onions, laid the sausages on top of the onions after a few minutes, deglazed with beer placed a lid on top. After the beer was reduced by a good amount I laid some Swiss on the sausages and left it to steam a bit longer. Tastes fucking god like.

This advice is bs.
