Some US media outlets have been criticised for their coverage of Israel's devastating military offensive in Gaza, including legacy brands like the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and The New York Times. According to The Intercept, top editors at The Times told journalists to limit the use of terms like "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" and avoid using the term "occupied territory". We spoke to The Intercept's Jeremy Scahill to find out more.

Biggest example is Mehdi Hasan. One of the most fiercest critic of Israel had his show taken off air by MSNBC.

I'm pleasantly surprised that this is being covered on France24. I guess this is their one segment where they try to uphold the facade of objectivity before returning to regularly scheduled propaganda.

Accused is a bad choice of words. It seems pretty well proven to me

Oh wow! No way! Not the New York Times! I thought they were a dignified and credible source of humanitarian journalism!

Is this a joke or what. Ask AIPAC, they seem to run the show. Another subscription down the tubes.

He should have also mentioned the false article about the massif rape written by an inexperienced former Israeli IDF journalist and which was subsequently debunked. The New York Times never took the time to apologize. Journalist Max Blumenthal did a great job revealing this.

It is a long known issue with the New York Times, they have a history of picking a side in a fight that aligns with Democratic Party and will use phrases that influence readers in a very obvious way. It is a shame because nyt is one of the premier US newspapers with a comparatively large staff & budget but they are very pro Israel, just like they were very pro IRA back in the day during worst of the troubles. American news, both tv and papers are exceptionally opinionated on both sides. It is a problem in the west in general, but as usual, the issue is most serious in US.

Israel will not be able at all to do in Iran what it did in Palestina !... That's very unfortunate, that Israel has been escalating this conflict with the bombing of Iranian embassy in Damascus. Alone that has been a clear instigation to a war ! There is no way to deny that !

When we look at and listen to you from over here, the Global South, you guys over there, in the colonialist North, just sound extremely cute and naive. You sound so seemingly surprised at knowledge that we've had for decades, it's just too cute!!! 😂😊😅😂
