Lessons Learned from Global Life Sciences Ecosystems in the COVID-19 Pandemic

Показать описание
The recent announcements of two promising COVID-19 vaccines, and others likely in the near future, demonstrate the effectiveness and importance of the current life sciences ecosystem. These critical discoveries did not emerge tabula rasa; rather they were built on successful life science ecosystems, including strong private sector companies, public funding of basic research, strong intellectual property protections, and flexible regulatory provisions. As such, policymakers can learn valuable lessons about what to do and not do to spur further life science innovations.
Please join ITIF for a discussion of this critical issue. The event will feature a keynote address from Simon Tripp of TEConomy Partners, and author of the new report “Response and Resilience: Lessons Learned from Global Life Sciences Ecosystems in the COVID-19 Pandemic.” and discussion by respondents.
