I can imagine that a certain granddaughter is going to have lots of fun with this whistle. Good kids project.

I'm going to suggest this to my daughter as a project for her cub pack. Thanks Kenny.

My granddaughter thought I should make her one. Lol, I reached up on the bookcase next to my chair and grabbed one. After handing it to her I asked "Is this quick enough?" Lol! You should have seen her face lol! Another great how-to Ken! Enjoyed, take care!

This may on the surface to be a fun project but in my opinion this is a fine woodworking job, great skill as well as finish, excellent .

So glad you decided to make this. And it is just in time to start making them for stocking stuffers for Christmas.

These are fun little projects. My granddaughters and I made bandsaw/scroll saw police whistles a while back. We made four different sizes for sound difference. I realized what I'd done after they were dried (BIG MISTAKE). Kidding... but I made sure they took them home to show mom and pop!
We'll give this one a try! Thanks Ken!

Good video, very clear instructions. If you drilled the holes all the way through then plugged them with different length dowels you could tune the whistle to a more pleasing musical chord using a chromatic tuner phone app.

Ken thank you I have seen the train whistle in stores mostly plastic, now I can make 1 for my neighbors grandson who just loves trains and has train sets he has the hat and overalls but no train whistle (I think he does in plastic), now can you make a slide whistle lol, Ken as always have a great weekend 👍

I absolutely love this, never heard/seen these before ... kids must have a hoot with these ... fantastic 👍

I suppose you could add screw driven plugs in the long holes, effectively changing their depth, meaning you could tune it to the sound you want ... but why over complicate something so simple 😀

I like the measuring device you use for locating the drill holes, but cannot find anything that looks like it. Please share.

Great video, will give it a try. Just wondering where you purchased the gauge for making the lines on the end of the whistle. It looks like a very handy tool to have. Thanks
