BMW F30 Wheel Stud Conversion (Motorsport Hardware Kit!)

Hey Everyone,

Today, we're going to show you how to a wheel stud conversion on your F30 BMW. This will work on the 320, 328, 335, 340, and so forth. It is actually the same process for most BMWS and other cars like Mercedes and Audi.

I want the option to add spacers in the future, so I went with the 83mm wheel studs, which are available through Motorsport Hardware directly. If you're not looking to add spacers, here's a link for the standard kit that's available on Amazon:

That grind that you hear from people sliding their wheels over the studs kills me. I have cars with and without wheel studs and I like being able to put the wheels on the BMW without grinding a pricey forged wheel over wheel studs.

I was debating on this .. rotated my tires tonight for the first time. Dear lord what a pain in the ass. I even had the hanger tool from BMS. It seems cross threading would be super easy to do if you're impatient or a hack.. and the threads in the hub will eventually stretch. Studs it is...

Is there a good way to tell what length studs I should get? On Kies theres 65mm thru 90mm - I have aftermarket wheels (and won't be using spacers with these) so I'm not entirely sure which to go with

Honestly going to have to do this for the wheels I got for my Jeep Cherokee. Paired with a Hub Ring to even things out to tame the weird European/American Frankenstein's monster 😆

Can you add wheel locks to this kit?? Im putting some new rims on my f30 and so far i cannot find any wheel locks for it. Any suggestions??

Are you still able to take out the brake discs with the wheel studs attached to the hub? Or do you need to remove the studs to take out the brake disc?

I know the video is old but do you have an update on the wheel studs? Like how have they held up to the winter how strong are they?

About to install studs on my E46 M3. Went with 90mm studs at the rear (12mm spacers on my road wheels / 20mm spacers on my track wheels) and 82mm studs up front (15mm spacers on my road wheels / no spacers on my track wheels).
