DJI Osmo Action 4 LOW LIGHT Filming | Settings for BEST Results

The DJI Osmo Action 4 features a larger sensor. This assists with getting better results when filming in low light. However, having the right settings is important to get the best results in low light scenarios.

In this video, I provide an overview of all of the settings that I use to get the best results with the Action 4. I also provide numerous sample clips of footage that I filmed using these settings.

Outstanding tutorial! This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Using auto settings with Rock Steady on, lowlight footage wasn’t unusable.

Absolutely helpful. With this setup, I can even use the Osmo Action 4 as a vlogging camera in a room, and the recording looks quite professional.

Great video. I am mounting an Action 4 to an Avata for a night club shoot. These setting look great! Rocksteady off with a run through Gyro is the way to go.

Thank you for these settings. What would you recommend for car mounts to record the windshield from the back seat?

Thanks, just used the Osmo3 in a museum and was disappointed with the motion blur in the dark areas. So I copied your settings on a note card and will keep them with the camera.

Thanks for the info, your low-light footage looks great compared to the auto settings. I’m planning on picking up this camera for my next trip and will try this out. Keep up the great work.

H this video you did here is incredible; I've viewed it so many times. My question is I have the Hohem Pro 4 and th3 Action4 both; do you know first of all is I use Capcut PC if I can use Gyroflow and second is it better than Capcut PC stabilization software? Thank you so much for teaching me!😊

Hi! I’m little late to the party. Just bought Action4 and came across your video. Very helpful to me however I dint know how to post edit nor have the tools. What is the best setting without post grading for low lights. Please don’t leave out any details. I am totally new and only use camera for vacations. Thank you…!
Also do if I need to “enable” low light environment.

Hi there! I would like to ask what would be your recommended settings for a night bicycle ride, in and out of city lights. I'll be using a chest mount and would be moving at around 30km/18mi per hour. Might be using some clips every now and then for vlogging, but priority is to get clear captures of license plates in case something untoward happens. Post processing will be minimal, just some slight color corrections if needed.

Thank you and I'd really appreciate your help here 🙂
