THANK YOU, and here I bought a new lcd thinking there was something wrong with mine, apparently the 2nd one having an i2c saved the day.

Best method for such problem will be to tighten or loosen the screw behind the i2c module in a small blue box(potentiometer of display) it will change the contrast of display due to high or low contrast these boxes appear.
This solved my problem hope will solve yours also

ive followed exactly what to do in your video, but why I still get error on i2c scan/finder? i got this error still 13:36:03.759 -> Scanning...
13:36:03.759 -> No I2C devices found

ciao. non so potresti aiutarmi, mi hanno regalato una board simile arduino ma a bordo un atmega 64 ho visto il tool di arduino uno mega ecc.. non e' supportato, comunque mi sono messo alla ricerca e finalmente con una interfaccia isp di pochi euro riesco a programmarlo. il problema e che in rete non trono nulla riguardo utilizzo porte analogiche e protocolli i2c per dispay e lcd, mi potresti aiutare tu con qualche esempio sempre se puoi ..grazie Francesco

Hi sir, my LCD is not working SCL and GROUND pin on my lcd with backpack are shorted when i check it with tester is that normal? If not how can i fix it? thanks for the reply.
