In this video, I am going over Mass Spectrometry. Mass Spectrometry or Mass Spec for short is a way to figure out the Atomic Mass/Molecular Mass of an unknown compound. Basically, it is like the Death Star from Star Wars. Zap your compound with a laser and watch it vaporize. Using the fragments, you can analyze several things like molecular stability, Molecular Weight, and if there are any Nitrogens, Bromines or Chlorines.
