Welcome to a more money conscious single mom vlog. I’m easing back into my groove as a money saver after an abundance of home repairs. Us eating at home is still going strong and I’m trying out using cash for a few budget categories again.

Being a single parent is the hardest job in the world. You’re doing a great job… buying a home and taking care of business. Another thing to wreck havoc in your life ( house repairs) Does your family live nearby? Any help from anyone outside the family? It’s so hard. Stay focused

Why can't they match the paint and just paint the affected area? That sounds like a money grab. I would probe further 🤔 Good luck with this repair ❤

I dont think thats true about paint matching. I have a unique grey color & my HOA had to do work on a few homes including mines. They paint matched in everyone's home by going to Sherwin Williams. All they need is like a small wall sample from your home & take it to Sherwin williams. I'm sorry you're going thru so much in your home, I've been there. It will get better 🙏🏾

Kids got free lunches for a time during covid. When it went back to paying, we had to put it back in the budget. I budget for allowing them two meals a week at school -- which I give them a month at a time. They have to pack lunches at home outside of that.

Knuffle Bunny! We love that book lol. I do a similar thing with my cash - I use colored paperclips and keep a little post it note in my wallet with the category color in case I forget. It works great for me.

Im not a purse person either. I have a wristlet. Maybe consider a wristlet...

Some Etsy sellers have the half (mini) clear/plastic envelopes for the wallet that you have. I have a wallet like that & it worked for me. I hate bulky wallets too.

For mold, look into putting cinnamon on it to remove the effects of mold

We had our water heater burst and had a similar situation as yours. And after the one claim related to mold remediation and restoration I was left to find a contractor on my own and my dad found someone and we got 2 walls replaced, painted, and texture all under 1k. However a year later the Insurance company dropped me (not because i used a independent contractor but because the mold remediation company made me submit a second claim for no reason, and even though everything was done through the first claim and nothing charged to the second claim, they say i have two claims and now i will be dropped no option to appeal) and thanks to God that I was able to get another insurer, but it wasn't without lots of convincing. Thank goodness I did like you and opened a Google drive and kept all my receipts paperwork photos and all my communications to prove that I did all the due diligence. Hope you get through this soon
