That's some good insight about how it's an "in between" year.

Now that's a proper relic.. because it's REAL.

This is not the kind of guitar that the “relic haters” are talking about. This is a REAL relic, with real damage. It’s earned those battle scars through decades of genuine usage and hard work. Getting someone to fake a brand new 2024 guitar so it looks like this, THAT is what people are hating on.

Nice Radiohead cover in the beginning.

Nice bit of history there! An Actual relic.

This is a real natural relic, and I appreciate that. Only the years of play can give the guitar such a charm. For that reason, I hate when then the new guitars are "relic made", and also due to the same reason, I hate when I see a real vintage guitar in mint condition, staying in the case for 50+ years.

I saw they had quite a few of 60s mustangs and Music master at that place. I’ve played a 1965 duo sonic ii and man they are totally worth it

Blond is the most beautiful colour on a guitar 100%

I'd buy a relic guitar if they looked like that. Most of them look like you dragged this behind your car on the drive home.

Actually a good reason for wanting relic finishes. I never thought of it like that

I'm a left-handed guitarist, so I don't have to worry about walking out of a guitar store with a $27, 000 guitar. I'm lucky if they even have a Squire for me to play.

It's actually in damn good shape for a 65 year old Tele. If it didn't have a little buckle rash I'd be suspicious.

Can’t beat it really especially if you own one you’re like in paradise

I do prefer the natural aging over what passes a "reliced" model today. But I have a '55 and a '59 to compare it to. So I know why you are enjoying it

That’s the shop where your kid was more interested in his phone, lol. What a cool guitar store! I’m glad you found your way over there!

I have a roadworn fender p bass but I only got it because I got it for half off. It plays better than any other bass I’ve played and because of the relic job, no one will know what dings are supposed to be there and what ones are made by me.

Ive been lucky enough to play around with some fantastic guitars. My dad bought his Natural wood color 74 strat in 74, he swapped the black pick guard for a white one. That thing always played great. And you could leave it sit for months, pick it up and it would still be in tune. I always played bass in whatever band i was in, and i was dragging around a white 69 sg Bass. Its rough around the edges, and always played extremely well. Has a unique sound for sure.

Nothing wrong with relic guitars as long as they are done properly. It gives them a great worn in feel which makes them smoother under the fingers. Better than a toffee apple poly coated guitar
