A car gives you freedom. Certain elements don’t want that. Even public transport controls when and where you travel. I have observed that In the push to limit us to cycling and walking, the motorbike is never championed, because despite being way more fuel efficient than a car, it still allows total unlimited freedom.

I just want these London-Centric environmentalists to travel by public outside of the M25 for just 1 month and then they will see why we need our own modes lf transport.

Totally disagree. We need more public transport everywhere. It doesn't need to be one or the other. If everyone drives we just get grid lock, which is why we need public transport as much as possible, and also many people can't drive hence from a social perspective need public transport.

Disagree with the public transport comments. Bus and train services (being poor; thanks privatisation 🤦) encourage car use further. They are not mutually exclusive. Frankly, the car is a great form of secondary transport for its utility (def not cheap thou) but a poor primary form because it's overused and thats where we are in the UK.
