He makes it sound like people who buy Ferraris care about delivery fees

If you pay way over 200k, 500 ain't a drop in the ocean

OBVIOUSLY flying to Italy to collect your own Ferrari is a memory for life. Nobody is going to object to that.

I bought one. It is an actual tour of the factory. It was amazing showing how they build these beautiful cars.

They have a stunning museum at the factory. At least 100 million in vintage cars. All the trophies. It is something special for true fans.

Had a friend buy a BMW and pick it up at the factory. They drove it to the port and took a rail trip around Europe. Since car had been driven prior to shipping, it was considered "used" so the import taxes were less and they got a trip through Europe instead of paying so much tax.

Edit: Never in a million years thought this comment would get so many likes. For all the people saying it isn't possible, the purchase and trip happened over 10 years ago. Don't know what the rules are now.

Ok but being able to say “I drove it home myself straight from the factory” would be kinda cool 😂😂😂😂

if you think you gotta save that 500$, you prolly shouldnt buy ferrari in the first place

When you're that rich, you care more about experience than the money.

Id rather pick it up tbh theres some pretty good driving roads in europe with beautiful scenery it would be an awsome trip home

when you're buying a $400, 000 car, I don't really see an extra $500 for a tour as some back room scam lol

“You’ve paid £500 to collect your own car”

And also for an experience that 99.9% of the world will not have

They save x-thousand dollars in shipping and you get to take a tour in a petrolhead mecca, a crazy car museum/factory and take your dream car on an amazing European roadtrip that you probably wouldn't otherwise. If you dropping $500k on a car $500 ain't shit. That's a win win

this information will definitely be useful to me in my life time

I don't think 500 is a lot for tour of a very old and fine sports car factory

I don't deal with scamsters that's the only reason I haven't bought a Ferrari, not because I am poor 😮

Corvette does that as well. I went to the factory and did the tour then went across the street to the museum. About every half hour they’d do this announcement and ceremony for a person picking up their car. It was pretty cool. If it was me I’d definitely pick my car up at the factory.

It's like a museum.. not a scam an experience if you care about cars/ferrari

I’ve never owned a Ferrari but have driven many and was invited to a factory tour for free, flown out, accommodation in Maranello and dinner at Cavallinos, plus a 458 to run round the test track (just launched when i visited), what an amazing experience. If customers get the same experience then worth every penny even if you have to pay to get there
