I loved this book up until I hit page 39 where Shawitz blows off the 120+ years of work done by hundreds of doctors and educators who firmly believed that dyslexia has SOMETHING to do with vision. Dr. Dale Jordan, in his 40+ years of working with the reading disabled beginning in the 1959's, wrote several books on dyslexia. All of them include visual perception as a major cause. He does not discount phonological awareness (he refers to it as Auditory Dyslexia) and, actually, he was one of the first to write about Auditory Dyslexia in his groundbreaking book "Dyslexia in the Classroom" in 1972 and a 2nd edition in 77. I loved the visual impact of your video when you held up the book and it's cover appears mirrior image. Innate mirror perception is actually a superpower of SOME Visual Dyslexics....
