By aligning being Christian with military victory, Constantine made it nearly a requirement for military powers in Europe going forward.

He is right bout much of this. I will say that calling Jesus a leftist is highly disingenuous. He never supported socialism, communism... he aggressively taught care for the poor on a personal level, not on as a governmental concern. Also he taught strict adherence to the Torah of Moses which is anathema to leftists.
