So true. So many people think that they can save their way to wealth. While it's a good place to start, you can only save so much of your existing income. At some point you need to increase your income so you actually have the money to start investing in stocks, rentals, businesses, etc that throw off passive income

I started educating myself at the age of 19 in the field of economics and business. I started from scratch by watching youtube videos and reading articles or books. This was also the time when I started attending college, so I almost had no money to actually invest as most of my money was going towards tuition fees and living expenses. But the important thing is that nevertheless, I invested the little money that was left. It might just have been some hundred bucks a year, but who cares? As Jeremy points out correctly: One of the biggest hurdles in being successful is to just get started! This experience definitely helped me in taking the first approach towards my future goals. With this, I just want to say, that it is entirely possible to go from no net worth to a figure where you can live well off in the future. You just need to have the dedication and passion to strive for it!

I actually only recently hit the $100k range but I meandered my way to it for years, hovering around $50kish for quite some time. It took hard work, quality work, making meaningful business contacts, and a little luck (you get luckier if you can hit the first three points). I could have gotten there much faster but I had no plan and no real ambition towards it (until I did). I only recently started my "side hustle" but I plan to flesh it out into a larger business over time. Jeremy is right on the money, no pun intended, although I imagine each path is unique to the individual.

I'm a student that started the year with 3 digits. Went to the US for an internship, found out about Robinhood before getting sent back because of COVID. Now I'm slowly growing the 5 digits and investing is helping a lot, although it's through options because the leverage does help at these low numbers

I’m trying to get from 10-100k at the moment and I’m doing 2 jobs 1 side hustle working 108hrs/week and of course investing and I was just thinking my side hustle could already replace 1 of my jobs so I’m gonna see what I decide! Wish my parents taught me the importance for compounding and the payouts it can generate, the difference between paycheck to paycheck and money for nothing.
