Everything you mention times 10, one is none 2 is 1 and 3 is what you need. 2 whole house generators one Tri fuel, a good knife or 2 would be good as well, great video I truly hope people are listening, thanks again!

Lighting: We keep the glow sticks in our bags and home. Safer than candles, kids love them. Drawbacks, can't put them out for later use, don't put out heat like a candle. (which is good in the summer)

Barter: Pint and 1/2 pint vodka. Beggars can't be choosers. Plus vodka has other uses. Tools, because I know a little something about tools, being a mechanic and electrician. Meat rabbits w/cage building materials. Hard to kill the cute things, but whatever. They provide instant fertilizer, are quiet and can be moved indoors if needed. I doubt I'd ever barter ammo. Don't want to tip my hand, nor arm a potential enemy. Bad enough dealing with alcoholics with the vodka.

Water: I also was a licensed water plant operator. I found bag filters at McMaster-Carr that filter to 2 microns, along with other filters. Unless using a Sawyer type, water still needs to be disinfected through chemical or boiling. Personally, depending where the water came from, I'd likely disinfect water filtered through a Sawyer device too. I read in the comments about using pool shock. Some kinds of pool shock will poison you. I'd have to look in my books for more details.

Books: If you can't google something, books are the next best thing. I even picked up a set of World Book Encyclopedias for free. Had to show my kids our "google" when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. I buy books often while thrift shopping. Even if I have no interest in the subject. Someone might....so barter material. I store them in cabinets along the outer perimeter walls. They stop most bullets. Board games, cards, dominoes. All can help break the boredom. Acoustic instruments. I play guitars, so keep plenty of extra strings.

We've always had a small home gym. In 2020/21, we found out how important it was to us. I've added on since. Staying in physical shape in important. It helps keep the mind right. Even just having a kettle bell or two and knowing some exercises. I started using a 24" pipe wrench as a club for working out. Another reason for having some tools. lol We have a heavy punching bag, because some of us a re Black Belts, but for edged weapons, I bolted a couple of old tires to the wall. Quickly discovered they can be punched with the fists too, hard on the elbows though.

Regarding the back up generator, i got the predator gas generator from harbor freight last winter when our whole house propane generator broke. The predator gas generator worked great and now i have a backup to my backup whole generator.

To purify water of any kind from a stream a lake a river pool shock but it has to be the pool shock that has granular calcium hypochlorite Make sure that that is the main ingredient in your pool shock and then there's a certain way to Make a mixture and then use the mixture to purify the water you're going to drink

Iodine solution 10% peroxide is good also and then to have an ointment to apply like Neosporin bandages large and small and tape medical tape gauze pads

Yeah the gas generator is good but it should be a generator that runs off a gasoline and propane then you stock up on both of those see the thing with propane is you don't have to worry about it going bad and you can store it outside even in the bitter cold

Candles are cheap buy a shitload of candles but the unscented kind and a couple kerosene lanterns then you got to stock up on the kerosene or the lamp oil which is better cuz it gives off less smell

Granular calcium hyperchlorite I cut myself off on that last comment but make sure it's granular calcium hypochlorite it's got to be the main ingredient in the pool shock
